Cristiano Ronaldo has joined the Saudi Arabian side, Al Nasr, on a deal that runs until 2025.
The Portugal captain is a free agent after leaving Manchester United and blamed the club in a controversial interview.
Ronaldo is said to earn the loftiest payment in football history at over£ 177 million a time.
The 37- time-old said he wanted to" witness a new football league in another country".
Al Nasr- nine-time Saudi Pro League titleholders- described the signing as" major".
The club said it would" inspire our league, nation, and unborn generations, boys and girls, to be the stylish interpretation of themselves".
In the summer, Ronaldo turned down a£ 305 million deal to join another Saudi club- Al Hilal- because he was happy at United.
The striker spoke in an interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV in early November, where he said he felt" betrayed" by United, disrespected by director Erik ten Haag, and sacked by the club.
Ronaldo, who scored 145 pretensions in 346 appearances for United, left Juventus to return to the Old Trafford club in August 2021- 11 times after moving to Real Madrid.
He'd just over seven months left on his£,000-a-week deal at United but his immediate exit was" mutually agreed".
A day after leaving the club, he was banned for two home games for tapping an Everton addict's phone following United's defeat at Goodison Park in April.
The ban will apply to any new club at a domestic position- in England or abroad- although it doesn't apply to international club positions similar to the title holders League.
Ronaldo lately returned from playing for Portugal at the World Cup in Qatar, where he made history by getting the first man to score in five different FIFA World Mugs in his side's opening palm over Ghana.
