South superstar Thalapathi Vijay's film 'Leo' is gaining interest. And the shed of the makers of his 'Fire' film has been found. Before the release of 'Leo', the makers had big smiles on their faces. It is known that Vijay's film did great business before its release.
Thalapathi Vijay was last seen in 'Varisu'. In this film, he was opposite India's national crush Rashmika Mandana. The film did not take the box office by storm at all. But even then Thalapathi Vijay's stardom has not diminished that much. And that is understood after seeing his next film 'Leo'. The film is said to have earned around 400 crores before its release.
You will be surprised, how possible! 'Leo' has made huge money by selling satellite, digital, musical, and theatrical rights. Rumor has it that the makers of the film have already sold the digital rights of the film to Netflix. And instead, good money went into the pockets of the producers.
They reportedly earned 120 crores from digital rights. These include Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi language rights. The makers have sold the satellite rights of the movie 'Leo' to Sun Television for around Rs 70 crore. And intense competition is going on between Set Max and Goldmines channels for Hindi satellite rights. It is said that it will be finalized in the next 15 days.
The makers earned about 30 crores from Hindi rights. Already, the music rights of this Pan India film have been sold for 18 crore rupees. While the makers of the film have sold the non-theoretical rights for around Rs 240 crore, they are making a business of around Rs 175 crore from the theoretical rights. And this number is said to be from around the world. It is reported that the makers have received about 50 crore rupees from the foreign rights of the film 'Leo'.
In Tamil Nadu, the amount of this right is Rs. 75 crores. Around Rs, 35 crores were claimed in Telangana, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh. And from theoretical rights in other parts of the country, they have done a business of 15 crore rupees.
The movie 'Leo' is being directed by famous south director Lokesh Kangraj. Earlier he gave films like 'Kathy', 'Vikram', and 'Master'. Lokesh and Thalapathy's 'Master' stormed the box office. Hence the frenzy among moviegoers around 'Leo'. Apart from Thalapathi Vijay, the film will star Sanjay Dutt and Trisha in lead roles. 'Leo' is slated to release worldwide in October this year.
