Pakistan's Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir said in an interview last night that officials and employees are working to restore power connections across the country. However, it has been possible to start electricity connections in the capital Islamabad and Balochistan province.
Earlier, Khurram Dastgir said that the repair work on the national grid is going on in full swing. (Monday) Power may be restored across the country by 10:00 p.m. The Ministry of Energy of the country said that this situation has arisen due to a breakdown in the national grid. The power went out at 7:34 am yesterday. More than 22 crore people in the country have become without electricity.
It is said that due to the economic situation, the electricity system is temporarily shut down at night. Start again in the morning. When it was switched on yesterday morning, there were frequency and voltage fluctuations in the southern part of the country. The incident took place somewhere between Dadu and Jamshore districts. Due to this, power generation units were shut down one after another.
At 10 am yesterday, Khurram Dastgir said, the problem in the national grid is not very big. Repair work is in progress. The situation will be normal soon. He assured the countrymen and said, 'I assure you, within 12 hours the electricity system will be started in the country.'
Earlier in October last year, there was no electricity for 12 hours in various parts of Pakistan. Such power outages occur frequently in Pakistan due to stress on the national power grid.
